     Martha Everett was probably born circa 1640 at Dover, Strafford County, Colony of New Hampshire.1 She was the daughter of William Everett and Margery ______.1 As of circa 1655,her married name was Lord.

Martha Everett married Nathan Lord, son of Nathan Lord and Anne ______, circa 1655.1 On 7 September 1662, Nathan Lord of Kittery, Massachusetts Bay Colony (Maine), purchased, for £80, 25 acres and a house from John Neal of Kittery. The land was on the northeastern side of the Piscataqa River.1 Martha and Nathanlikely moved from that part of Kittery, now Eliot to that part of Kittery, now South Berwick following the land purchase.1 On 8 February 1698/99, for £28 "Martha Lord Relict widow and Administratrix unto Nathan Lord of Kittery" sold to Joseph Hammonda parcel of medow about five or six acres.1 "Widdow Martha Lord" was on the 1704 list of sufferers from the Indians during Queen Anne's War. She was to receive 8 shillings in compensation.1 On 12 March 1709, Martha Lord deeded her home in Berwick to her son, Benjamin, with life reservation.1 Martha Everett died on 15 November 1736 at Berwick, Massachusetts (Maine).1,2 Martha's obituary of 30 December 1736, reads:

On the 15th of last Month died at Berwick after a few Days Illness, the Widow Martha Lord in the Ninety-Nineth Year of her Age, who has left behind her the Character of a religious good Woman, and numerous Posterity, amounting to between three and four Hundred.
