     Samuel Lord was born between 1661 and 1664.1 He was the son of Nathan Lord and Martha Everett.1 Samuel probably operated a saw-mill.1 On 18 March 1686/87, he puchased land from Henry Childs.1 He died on 20 November 1689 at Berwick, Massachusetts (Maine).1 His estate was administered on 4 March 1689/90 by Abraham Lord, his brother.1 On 15 July 1690, a jury of inquest investigated the "untimely death of Samuell Lord of Barwick, Robert Houston of Dover, and Thomas Littlefield of Wells who were drowned in Barwicke."1
