     Bérnard Bedard was born on 24 January 1689 at Charlesbourg, Québec, New France.1 He was christened on 24 January 1689 in the Église Saint-Charles-Borromée, Charlesbourg, Québec, New France.1 He was the son of Louis Bedard and Marie-Madeleine Huppé.2 A contract for the marriage of Bérnard Bedard and Anne-Thérèse LeRoy was signed on 23 October 1712 at Québec City, Québec, New France. Their marriage contract was drawn up by notory Jean-Robert Duprac.3

Bérnard Bedard, age 23, married Anne-Thérèse LeRoy, age 15 , daughter of Jean LeRoy dit le Audy and Marie-Thérèse Jobin, on 14 November 1712 at the Église Saint-Charles-Borromée, Charlesbourg, Québec, New France.

Bérnard married second on 19 February 1719 at Église Nativité-de-Notre-Dame, Beauport, Québec, New France, Marguerite Parent, daughter of Pierre Parent and Marguerite Bougie. She was born 17 April 1692 in Beauport, Québec, New France, and christened at the Paroisse of Nativité-de-Notre-Dame, Beauport, Québec, New France. She died 25 April 1751, and was buried the next day from Paroisse St-Charles-Borromée, Charlesbourg, Québec, New France. She had previously been married to Paul Chalifoux.
