Celetje Jans Damen was christened circa 1685 in the New Utrecht (now Brooklyn), Province of New York.2 She was the daughter of Jan Corneliszen Damen and Sophia Martense.2 Celetje Jans Damen was also known as Celia Damen.2 As of 1705,her married name was LeRoy.1
Celetje Jans Damen married Captain François LeRoy dit Audy, son of Siméon LeRoy dit Audy and Claude Des Chalets, in 1705 at the what is now Dutchess County, Province of New York.
Celetje and Françoismoved to Poughkeepsie, Province of New York, in 1709 after buying a plot of land from Myndert Harnenszen.2 Celetje and Captain François LeRoy dit Audy were known to be living in 1710 at Poughkeepsie, Province of New York.1 Both Franéois and Celetje were early members of the Dutch Church in Poughkeepsie.2 Celetje Jans Damen died in 1784 at Dutchess County, New York.2
