     Frederick Lindsay was born in 1790 at Pennsylvania. He was the son of David Alexander Lindsay and Mary Shawgessey.

Frederick Lindsay married Catherine Stustman on 8 April 1812 at the Huntingdon County, Pennsylvania.1 Frederick, appeared on the US Census of 1840 at Hollidaysburg, Blair County, Pennsylvania. The enumeration reads:
