     Charles Dufforen Bombard was born in August 1855 at Alburgh, Vermont.3 He was the son of Joseph Bombardier and Louisa LaBerge.2 Charles, age 24 years, appeared on the US Census of 1880 at Swanton, Vermont, He was a farm laborer.4

Charles Dufforen Bombard, age 25, married Amelia Jarvis Burnett, daughter of François Bonin and Zoe Babin dite LaCroix, on 28 December 1880 at the Alburgh, Vermont.
