Mary Bernice Malochleb

     Mary Bernice Malochleb was born on 24 April 1893 at Middletown, Connecticut.^3,4,2 She was the daughter of Louis Edward Malochleb and Louise Kwanowskia.² Mary, age 7, appeared on the US Census of 1900 living at 36 East Main Street, Middletown, Orange County, Connecticut,in the household of her parents, Louis Edward and Louise Malochleb.⁴ Mary, age 16, appeared on the US Census of 1910 living at 76 Sprague Avenue, Middletown, Orange County, Connecticut,in the household of her parents, Louis Edward and Louise Malochleb.She was a salesperson at a news stand.⁵ As of 12 June 1912,her married name was Hefferman.¹

Mary Bernice Malochleb, age 19, married Walter R. Hefferman, age 22 , son of John Hefferman and Margaret E. Sexton, on 12 June 1912 at Middletown, Orange County, New York.



Mary, age 36 years, and Walter, age 39 years, appeared on the US Census of 1930 on 147 White Street, West Haven, Connecticut.⁶ Mary, age 46 years, and Walter, age 49 years, appeared on the US Census of 1940 on 147 White Street, West Haven, Connecticut. Mary Bernice Malochleb died on 27 June 1978 at East Haven, Connecticut, at age 85.^3,7 Mary was buried at Beaverdale Memorial Park, New Haven, Connecticut, in plot H-397-1.⁷
