     James Stevens was born on 21 February 1651 at Guilford, New Haven Colony.3,2,1,4 He was the son of Thomas Stevens and Mary Clark Fletcher.2

James Stevens married Mary Whelpley, daughter of Henry Whelpley and Sarah Howes.
