Compeller's Notes:
Moves: Siméon seems to have had wanderlust. We are not sure when he immigrated to New France, but let us say 1658 at the age of 21. He lived in Charlesbourg with his wife. In 1679, say 20 years after he arrived in New France, he moved to Montréal. In 1682, he moved to New York. Why would he move to a place that spoke no French and was Protestant? We also know that when his wife died, he was destitute. I cannot help but wonder if his flight to New York was to escape debtors. We will never know.
