Elder Ebenezer Lord

     Elder Ebenezer Lord was christened on 28 January 1721/22 at the First Church of Berwick, Berwick, Province of Massachusetts Bay (Maine).¹ He was the son of Captain Samuel Lord and Martha Wentworth.² Ebenezer owned covenant at First Church of Berwick, Berwick, Province of Massachusetts Bay (Maine), on 22 November 1741.¹

Elder Ebenezer Lord, age 21, married Martha Emery, age 17 , daughter of Simon Emery and Martha Lord, on 22 October 1743 at Kittery, Province of Massachusetts Bay (Maine).^2,1 Ebenezer and Martha were received into the church at First Church of Berwick, Berwick, Province of Massachusetts Bay (Maine), on 9 August 1745.¹ Ebenezer and Martha were dismissed from the First Church of Berwick, Berwick, Province of Massachusetts Bay (Maine), on 23 March 1755 to help form the Second or Blackberry Church of Berwick.¹ Elder Ebenezer Lord was mentioned in the will of Captain Samuel Lord on 23 February 1761 at Berwick, Province of Massachusetts Bay (Maine).¹ Elder Ebenezer Lord was mentioned in the will of Martha Wentworth on 7 September 1764 at Berwick, Province of Massachusetts Bay (Maine). She also left to her three slaves: maidservant Sarah who should be freed after Martha's death; servent Amos Hall, who should be freed on his 30^th birthday; and servent girl, Amey Hall who should be freed on her 25^th birthday.¹

Elder Ebenezer Lord, age 51, married Jane Hight, age 37 , daughter of William Hight and Elizabeth Walton, in May 1773 at Berwick, Province of Massachusetts Bay (Maine).^2,3,4,1 Ebenezer wrote his will on 14 May 1795 at Berwick, Massachusetts (Maine).¹ He died on 19 February 1812 at Lebanon, Massachusetts (Maine), at age 90.^2,5,4,1 He was buried at Lords Cemetery, Berwick, Massachusetts (Maine).
