Peter Pangborn was born in 1641 at Oxford, Oxfordshire, England.1,2,3 He was the son of David Pangborn and Margaret Lester.1 Peter Pangborn immigrated in 1666 to America with a group of British Soldiers under the command of a Captain Leisler.3

Peter was a cordwinder (shoe maker.)3 On Aug. 25, 1676 he was appointed Currier.3 In 1682, he was appointed a Sealer of Leather.3 On 10 May 1682 Peter lived at Oyster Bay, Nassau County, New York.3 During 1689 he was listed as a soldier defending Fort New York. His age was given as 48 years.3 He died in 1697 at Nassau County, New York.1,2,3
