Gerard Aloysius Gallagher was born on 12 November 1914 at Binghamton, Broome County, New York.1,2,3 He was the son of Aloysius Francis Gallagher and Elizabeth Irene Hennessey. Gerard, age 1, appeared on the New York State Census of 1915 living at 15 Lathrop Avenue, Binghamton, Broome County, New York,in the household of his parents, Aloysius Francis and Elizabeth Irene Gallagher.4 Gerard, age 5, appeared on the US Census of 1920 living at 15 Lathrop Avenue, Binghamton, Broome County, New York,in the household of his parents, Aloysius Francis and Elizabeth Irene Gallagher.5 Gerard, age 15, appeared on the US Census of 1930 living at 937 Grandview Street, Scranton, Pennsylvania,in the household of his parents, Aloysius Francis and Elizabeth Irene Gallagher.6 Gerard, age 26, appeared on the US Census of 1940 living at 236 White Morsh Street, Haverford, Delaware County, Pennsylvania,in the household of his parents, Aloysius Francis and Elizabeth Irene Gallagher. He was listed as a teacher student.7,8 On on 16 October 1940, Gerard registered for the World War II draft, while living at 4507 Marvine Avenue, Drexel Hill, Delaware County, Pennsylvania, giving his age as 26 and his employer as the Philadelphia Skyport Inc.1

The marriage of Miss Lorraine Catherine Carey, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Bernard P. Carey, Overbrook, Philadelphia, to Gerald A. Gallagher, son of Mr. and Mrs. A. J. Gallagher, Drexel Hill, formerly of Scranton, will be solemnized today at 10 a. m. in the Church of Our The Lady of Lourdes Overbrook. Rev. Francis J. Carberry will perform the ceremony.
The bride will be escorted by her father she will wear a white satin gown, princess style, with a pearl beaded front panel and finger tip tulle veil. She will carry a spray of white lilies.
Mrs. William J. Kane, Drexel Hill, sister of the bride-groom will be matron of honor and Miss Jeanne Louise Carey, Overbrook, sister of the bride, will be maid of honor. They will wear blue satin gowns and will carry matching muffs trimmed with sprays of orchids.
The bridesmaids will be Miss Horne, Miss Marie Lyons, cousin of the bride and Miss Anna Rose Welty, all of Philadelphia; Miss Helen Boylan, Bywood, Pa., and Miss Marie Barnes, Drexel Hill. They will wear duty pink colored satin gowns and will carry. matching muffs trimmed with sprays of orchids.

Carberry.10,9 Gerard, age 35 years, and Lorraine Gallagher, age 30 years, appeared on the US Census of 1950 at 527 Gainsboro Stree, Upper Darby Township, Delaware County, Pennsylvania.11 According to the Federal Census in 1950, Gerard was an industrial engineer.11 In 1969, the year Gerard died, he lived at Villanova, Delaware County, Pennsylvania.2 Gerard died on 12 June 1969 at home on 327 Saybrook Rd, Villanova, Delaware County, Pennsylvania, at age 54 from upper gastrointestinal hemorrhage caused by cirrhosis of the liver.2,3 Gerard was buried on 16 June 1969 at Calvary Cemetery, West Conshohocken, Montgomery County, Pennsylvania.3
