Travis.1 Thomas, age 11, appeared on the US Census of 1910 living at Canal Street, Middletown, Orange County, New York,in the household of his parents, George William and Margaret E. Travis.4 Thomas Charles Travis and Elnora Cole obtained a marriage license on 4 August 1917 at Orange County, New York.5,6

He was a carpenter.8 Thomas, age 31 years, and Elnora, age 31 years, appeared on the US Census of 1930 on 915 Park Street, Hartford, Connecticut.9 According to the Federal Census in 1930, Thomas was a fire insurance engineer.9 Thomas, age 41 years, and Elnora, age 41 years, appeared on the US Census of 1940 on 15 Clinton Street, Hartford, Connecticut.10 According to the Federal Census in 1940, Thomas was a janitor.10 Thomas registered for the draft giving his age as 44 and his employer as Orient Insurance. on 16 February 1942 at 15 Clinton Street, Hartford, Connecticut.3 He died on 14 September 1946 at Hartford, Connecticut, at age 48.11,12
