St. Peter's Church, Malden, Essex, England

Notes:
Only the Tower of this ancient Parish Church remains. St. Peter’s church was given to Beeleigh Abbey by Robert Mantell in 1180. In 1306, on account of the insufficient income of each the Bishop of London, with the consent of the Abbot of Beeleigh, united the two so-called “livings” and they have been conjoined ever since. Henry V (c. 1416) established a chantry or guild in St. Peter’s in order that a priest should sing mass there “to pray for the said King Henry”; also “to keep a school there.”
