  Frank J. Meyer Sr. Frank J. Meyer Sr., a volunteer at the Veterans Affairs Medical Center in Oakland and active in veterans organizations, died of a heart attack Tuesday in Sewickley Valley Hospital. Mr. Meyer, 63, of Coraopolis, was a member of Local 154 of the International Brotherhood of Boilermakers and a member of St. Joseph Church in Coraopolis. Mr. Meyer served as a corporal in the Army during World War II and received the Army Occupation Medal-Japan. He was a member of Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 402 in Coraopolis, where he served as commander in 1973-74, and was a member of the Cooties division. Mr. Meyer was a member of American Legion Post 4 in Sewickley, Elks Lodge 1090 in Coraopolis, Moose Lodge 696 in Coraopolis and the Fraternal Order of Police. He was named State GI Joe by the Veterans Organization of Pennsylvania. Mr. Meyer is survived by his wife, Anna Mae; seven sons, Thomas, Vince and Paul, all of Coraopolis, Frank Jr. of Ingram, Richard of Oakdale, William of Magnolia Springs, Ala., and Robert of North Carolina; three daughters, Mary Ann Debrowski and Denise Rucker, both of Coraopolis, and Rose Marie Martinez of San Antonio, Texas; 12 grandchildren; a half sister, Marie Bohonas of Kennedy; and two stepbrothers, Richard Piffer and Frank Piffer of Ingram.
