  Benjamin Goodridge, the son of William and Margaret (Butterfield) Goodridge. He was born on 11 April 1642 in Watertown, Massachusetts. His birth date is recorded as 11 (2) 1642. After Deborah's death, on 16 November 1678 Benjamin, at age 36, married (2) Sarah Croad, at age 26, daughter of Richard Croad and Deborah Jordan, in Newbury, Massachusetts. He and Sarah Croad moved in 1685 to Rowley, Massachusetts. He was killed by Indians on Thursday 23 October 1692 in Rowley, now Georgetown, Massachusetts. Benjamin's estate was inventoried on 1 June 1693 and valued at £87 7/9. Issue: 1. Benjamin Goodridge (1664-____) 2. Joseph Goodridge (1667-____) 3. Daniel Goodridge (1670-1747) 4.   Goodridge (1918) states the first marriage was performed in Ipswich, Mssachusetts. Torry (1985) states that Benjamin married Deborah Jorden 8 September 1663, and that the name "Mary" is in error.
