Sarah Osgood was born on 21 September 1846 at Haverhill, Massachusetts.1,2 She was the daughter of Orlando F. Osgood and Almira Jane Fellows. Sarah, age 4, appeared on the US Census of 1850 living at Haverhill, Massachusetts,in the household of her parents, Orlando F. and Almira Jane Osgood.3 Sarah, age 8, appeared on the Massachusetts State Census of 1855 living at Haverhill, Massachusetts,in the household of her parents, Orlando F. and Almira Jane Osgood.4 Sarah, age 13, appeared on the US Census of 1860 living at Haverhill, Massachusetts,in the household of her parents, Orlando F. and Almira Jane Osgood.5 Sarah, age 18, appeared on the Massachusetts State Census of 1865 living at Haverhill, Massachusetts,in the household of her parents, Orlando F. and Almira Jane Osgood.6 As of 2 July 1866,her married name was Woodman.
Sarah Osgood, age 19, married Milton Clark Woodman, age 21 , son of Deacon Greenleaf Hatch Woodman and Dorothy E. Dunham, on 2 July 1866.
Sarah, age 23 years, appeared on the US Census of 1870 at Danvers, Massachusetts, as a lodger with the Hilton family. She worked in a shoe factory.8 Sarah and Milton were seperated after 1873.7 Sarahmoved to Haverhill, Massachusetts, circa 1874.7 Sarah, age 33, appeared on the US Census of 1880 living at 73 High Street, Haverhill, Massachusetts,in the household of her parents, Orlando F. and Almira Jane Osgood.9 Sarah, age 53 years, appeared on the US Census of 1900 on Cross Street, Haverhill, Essex County, Massachusetts, living with her daughter, Lilian, and her family.2 Sarah, age 63 years, appeared on the US Census of 1910 on 5a Washington Street, Haverhill, Massachusetts, living with her daughter, Jennie and family.10 Sarah's husband, Milton, died on 4 September 1919.11 After her husband died, she received a pension based on his Civil War service.12
Sarah, age 73 years, appeared on the US Census of 1920 on 36 Cross Stree, Haverhill, Essex County, Massachusetts, living with her daughter, Leslie and family. She was a widow.13 She died in 1927 at Haverhill, Massachusetts.7,11,14 Sarah was buried in 1927 at Hilldale Cemetery, Haverhill, Massachusetts.11
