     Phebe Covert was born in 1725 at Cortlandt Manor, Westchester County, Province of New York.1 She was the daughter of Isaac Covert and Mary Purdy.1 As of 1757,her married name was Travis.1

Phebe Covert married James Travis, son of James Travis and Rebecca Squire, in 1758.1,2,3 Phebe Covert was mentioned in the will of her father, Isaac Covert on 4 May 1780.4,5,3 Phebe, appeared on the US Census of 1790 at York, Westchester County, New York. The enumeration reads:

2 - Free White Persons - Males - 16 and over
1 - Free White Persons - Males - Under 16
3 - Free White Persons - Females
6 - Number of Household Members.6


She died in 1791 at Rye, Westchester County, New York.1
