     Emmanuel Mirande dit Tavare was born on 2 December 1648 at Santa Cruz da Graciosa, Azores, Portugal.1,2 He was the son of Manoel Tavares and Catherina Pires da Covilhã.1 Emmanuel Mirande dit Tavare was also known as Manuel.1

Emmanuel Mirande dit Tavare, age 30, married Marguerite Bourgeois, daughter of Jacques Bourgeois dit Jacob and Jeanne Trahan, on 30 November 1679 at Beaubassin, Acadia, New France.

In the 1686 US Census, Emmanuel was recorded, age 38, living in Beaubassin, Acadia, New France. 28.2 In the 1693 US Census, Emmanuel was recorded, age 45, living in Beaubassin, Acadia, New France. 33.4,2,5 In the 1698 US Census, Emmanuel was recorded, age 50, living in Beaubassin, Acadia, New France. 40.4,2,5 In the 1700 US Census, Emmanuel was recorded, age 55, living in Beaubassin, Acadia, New France. 38.4,2,5 He died before 12 January 1707 at Beaubassin, Colony of Nova Scotia, British North America.1
