     Catherine Brindle was born on 2 December 1775 at Westmoreland County, Province of Pennsylvania.1,2,3 She was the daughter of Lawrence Brindle and Veronica Freany Ley.1 As of 15 December 1809,her married name was Kuhns.

Catherine Brindle, age 34, married Jacob John Kuhns, age 30 , son of Johann Philip Kuhns and Anna Maria Stambach, on 15 December 1809 at Westmoreland County, Province of Pennsylvania.

Catherine, age 74 years, and Jacob Kuhns, age 70 years, appeared on the US Census of 1850 at Washington Township, Westmoreland County, Pennsylvania.4 Catherine Brindle died on 6 February 1852 at Washington Township, Westmoreland County, Pennsylvania, at age 76.1,2 She was buried at Saint James Lutheran Church Cemetery, Perryville, Westmoreland County, Province of Pennsylvania. Catherine's epitaph reads:
