Howard G. Brindle was born on 5 April 1900 at Manor, Westmoreland County, Pennsylvania.1,2,3,4,5,6 He was the son of John George Brindle and Ethel McMichael. Howard, age 9, appeared on the US Census of 1910 living at Cleveland Ave, Manor, Westmoreland County, Pennsylvania,in the household of his parents, John George and Ethel Brindle.7 (an unknown value.)4

A news article of 14 December 1922, reads:
While returning to their homes in Connellsville, Tuesday evening, Howard and Samuel Brindle were shaken up and injured when their automobile ran into a train at Trotter crossing. Both men declared they did not notice the train at the crossing until it was too late to stop. The driver swerved the machine and did not hit the train head on. The steps leading into the cab of the engine were torn off and the auto was badly damaged in the collision. The two men were taken to Connellsville by W. M. Keily, of Dunbar, where injuries were dressed and they were later taken home.

Howard, age 29 years, and Anna Brindle appeared on the US Census of 1930 at West Cocalico Township, Lancaster County, Pennsylvania.11 According to the Federal Census in 1930, Howard was a laborer in a textile factory.11 Howard, age 39 years, and Anna Brindle appeared on the US Census of 1940 at Brecknock Township, Lancaster County, Pennsylvania.12 Howard was a farmer in 1940.12 Howard registered for the draft giving his age as 42 and his employer ast the Rescure Mission on 16 February 1942 at 824 Seventeenth Street, Altoona, Blair County, Pennsylvania.6
Howard, age 49 years, and Anna Brindle appeared on the US Census of 1950 at Brecknock Township, Lancaster County, Pennsylvania.9 According to the Federal Census in 1950, Howard was a rug maker.9 In 1958, the year Howard died, he lived at Lancaster, Lancaster County, Pennsylvania.3 He died on 25 April 1958 at St. Joseph's Hospital, Lancaster, Lancaster County, Pennsylvania, at age 58 from a coronary occlusion.2,3,13,4,5 Howard's obituary of 29 April 1958, reads:
